Explained

What's the difference between Second Season and Act II?

Second Season is the second half of the original manga's story (Eijun's first year). Act II adapts the sequel manga, Ace of Diamond Act II, which starts in his second year. So the order is Ace of Diamond, Second Season, Act II, then Act II Second Season, the fourth TV season. Some streaming services label Act II as Season 3.

Do I need the OVAs?

No. Both OVA sets are short side stories and backstories for supporting characters, released with manga volumes. They're nice extras for fans but nothing in the TV series depends on them.

Is it dubbed?

No English dub has been released for any season. Crunchyroll has streamed every season with subtitles.

What's next?

Act II Second Season is airing in two parts: 13 episodes in spring 2026 and part 2 from October 2026, which covers the championship match against Inashiro. The Act II manga finished in 2022; whether this season adapts it all the way to the end hasn't been announced.
