First time? Watch Season 1, then Sword Oratoria, then Seasons 2, 3, 4 (both parts) and 5. The film Arrow of the Orion and the three OVAs are optional extras; skip the two Episode 0 recaps.
Story order
Sword Oratoria happens at the same time as Season 1 episodes 1–10 and ends before Season 1 does, but it shows Season 1's big moments from the other side, so it goes after Season 1. The first OVA is set just after Season 1's ending. Recaps are left out.

Explained
When should I watch Sword Oratoria?
After Season 1. It's a side story about Ais and the Loki Familia that runs in parallel with Season 1, reuses some of its scenes, and spoils its big moments. Watched afterwards, it fills in what the Loki Familia was doing while Bell was growing up.
Is Arrow of the Orion canon?
It's an original story written by the author, Fujino Omori, who places it between Seasons 1 and 2 while admitting it doesn't fit neatly there (the enemies are stronger than Bell should be able to handle that early). Treat it as a self-contained bonus. You can watch it after Season 1 or save it for later.
Do I need the OVAs and Episode 0s?
No. The three OVAs are light comedy and fan-service episodes that don't affect the plot. The two Episode 0 specials (2019 and 2022) are recaps made before Seasons 2 and 4. There's no filler inside the main seasons.
Is Season 4 one season or two?
One season of 22 episodes, aired in two parts: New Chapter (July–September 2022) and Calamity (January–March 2023). Some services list the parts separately.
Is there a Season 6?
Yes. Season 6 was announced in February 2026 at the series' 10th-anniversary event, but no release date had been given as of October 2026. No second season of Sword Oratoria has been announced.
