Explained

Is the Ryusui special skippable?

No. It adapts the manga chapters between Stone Wars and New World, introduces Ryusui and starts the ship-building that New World picks up from. Some lists call it episode 35.5.

Is there filler?

No. Every TV episode and the Ryusui special adapt the manga. The only non-story entry is the 2020 recap special before Stone Wars.

Why do the season names keep changing?

Each season has a subtitle instead of a number: Stone Wars is Season 2, New World is Season 3 (two parts) and Science Future is Season 4 (three parts). Counting the Ryusui special, the anime is 95 episodes long.

Does the anime finish the story?

Yes. Science Future's final episode, in June 2026, covers the Moon mission and the manga's ending. The anime is complete.

What is Dr. Stone: Terraforming?

A sequel anime announced in October 2026, adapting the Terraforming story from manga volume 27, which continues after the main ending. No release date has been given yet.
