JoJo's Bizarre Adventure watch order
Generations of the Joestar family fight vampires, ancient warriors and people with strange psychic powers called Stands. Each Part has a new JoJo and a new setting.
First time? Start with the 2012 TV series and watch the TV seasons in order. Skip the old OVAs and the 2007 movie.
Story order
The TV anime already follows the manga Part by Part, so this is also the best first watch. The older OVAs and the 2007 movie retell Parts 3 and 1, so they're left out here.

Explained
Why the first season covers two Parts
The 2012 series adapts Part 1, Phantom Blood (episodes 1–9), and Part 2, Battle Tendency (episodes 10–26). Each Part has its own JoJo, so the main character changes partway through the season. That's normal for the series.
What the 1993 and 2000 OVAs are
Before the TV series, studio A.P.P.P. adapted Part 3 only, in two OVA runs. The 2000 episodes are a prequel that abridges the first half of Part 3, and the 1993 episodes cover the second half, so if you watch them, watch the 2000 ones first. The TV series tells the same story in full, so they're optional.
The 2007 Phantom Blood movie
It had a limited release in Japanese cinemas and was never put out on home video, so there's no official way to watch it. You aren't missing anything: the 2012 series covers Part 1.
Is Steel Ball Run a sequel?
Not directly. Part 7 takes place in a new universe that isn't connected to Parts 1–6 beyond some familiar names. It still comes after Stone Ocean in publication order, which is the order most watch guides follow.
