Laid-Back Camp watch order
Rin likes camping alone by the lakes around Mount Fuji; Nadeshiko has just moved to Yamanashi and wants to try it. Once they meet, the school's tiny Outdoor Activities Club starts planning trips. Afro's manga became three TV seasons, a short spin-off, a movie about the girls as adults and a handful of bonus OVAs.
First time? Watch Season 1, Season 2 and Season 3 in order. Add Room Camp (36 minutes in total) after Season 1 and Laid-Back Camp: The Movie after Season 2 or at the very end.
Story order
The movie moves to the end because it's set years after the high-school seasons. Everything else is the same as release order. Room Camp sits between Seasons 1 and 2; it's set after Nadeshiko joins the club.
- Laid-Back Camp
Rin and Nadeshiko meet at a campsite by Lake Motosu, Nadeshiko joins the Outdoor Activities Club with Chiaki and Aoi, and the winter camping trips begin. Made by C-Station.
- Laid-Back Camp OVAs (optional)
Optional. Three short bonus episodes from the Japanese Blu-rays: "Room Camp Episode 0" (Chiaki and Aoi founding the club before Nadeshiko arrives), "Tall-Tale Camp" and the gag episode "Survival Camp".
- Room Camp
A spin-off of three-minute episodes: Nadeshiko, Chiaki and Aoi travel around Yamanashi on a stamp rally. Adapts the manga's after-school side chapters. Light and optional, but the main cast all appear.
- Room Camp: Saunas and Grub and Three-Wheeler Bikes (optional)
Optional. An 11-minute Room Camp special, first streamed on YouTube for one day and then put on the Room Camp Blu-ray. Rin's father makes his first anime appearance.
- Laid-Back Camp Season 2
Opens with a flashback to Rin's very first solo camp in middle school, then continues the story over New Year's and into spring.
- Laid-Back Camp Season 2 OVAs (optional)
Optional. Two five-minute Blu-ray extras, "Mystery Camp" and "Traveling Rin Shima", in which the club suggests Rin's next trip.
- Laid-Back Camp Season 3
Back to high school and the next chapters of the manga. A new studio (8bit) and director (Shin Tosaka) give it a slightly different look.
- Laid-Back Camp Season 3 OVAs (optional)
Optional. Three six-minute shorts from the Season 3 Blu-rays, including "Rainy Camping".
- Laid-Back Camp: The Movie
Years later, the five are working adults: Rin edits a magazine in Nagoya and Chiaki, working in tourism, ropes everyone into building a campsite. An original story, not from the manga, that the director called a standalone film.
Release order
The movie came out between Seasons 2 and 3. It's a standalone look at the future, so watching it here doesn't spoil Season 3 and Season 3 doesn't need it.

Explained
Should I watch the movie before or after Season 3?
Either works. The movie is an original story set years later, with the cast as adults, and the director described it as standalone. Season 3 goes back to their high-school days and doesn't refer to it. Watch it after Season 2 to follow release order, or save it for last as a look at where everyone ends up.
Do I need Room Camp and the OVAs?
No. Room Camp is a short spin-off (twelve three-minute episodes) and the OVAs are bonus shorts from the Japanese Blu-rays, several of them pure gags like "Survival Camp". None of them carry the story. Room Camp is the easiest to fit in: it's short and the main cast all appear.
Why does Season 3 look different?
Seasons 1 and 2, Room Camp and the movie were made by C-Station with director Yoshiaki Kyogoku. Season 3 moved to Eight Bit (8bit) with director Shin Tosaka. The cast stayed the same.
Is there an English dub?
Yes, from Crunchyroll, for all three TV seasons, with the same core cast throughout (Celeste Perez as Rin). The dub arrived years after the original broadcast for Seasons 1 and 2: in 2022 and 2024. We couldn't find a dub for Room Camp or the OVAs.
Is there a Season 4?
Yes. Season 4 was announced in November 2024, and a teaser in early 2026 set it for 2027, made by a new studio, FuRyu Pictures, with director Shin Tosaka returning. There's also a live-action drama (two seasons, 2020 and 2021), which is separate from the anime.
