Explained
Do I need the Reigen special?
No. It's mostly a recap of Season 1, with new framing scenes of Reigen telling his version of events while everyone else corrects him. It's a fun refresher if you're coming back after a break.
Where does the company trip OVA go?
After Season 2. Serizawa only joins Spirits and Such at the end of Season 2, and he's in the OVA as the new employee. It's a light, anime-original story, but fans enjoy it.
Are there filler or recap episodes?
Not in the TV series. All three seasons adapt the manga; the only recap is the Reigen special, and the only original stories are the company trip OVA and the shorts.
Is the story finished? Will there be more?
Yes, it's complete. Season 3 adapts the end of ONE's manga, which finished in 2017. For the anime's 10th anniversary in July 2026 there was a short new clip and fan events, but no new season or film has been announced.
