My Hero Academia watch order
In a world where most people have superpowers called Quirks, powerless Izuku Midoriya inherits the power of the greatest hero, All Might, and enrolls at U.A. High to become a hero himself. The TV series adapts Kōhei Horikoshi's manga to its end, with four original films along the way.
First time? Watch the TV seasons in order, from Season 1 to the Final Season and the More epilogue. Add the films at their tie-in points if you like (Two Heroes after episode 58, World Heroes' Mission after 104, You're Next after 143), and save Vigilantes for after.
First-timer order
The TV series with the four films at their usual spots: each one right after the episode that sets it up, and Heroes Rising after Season 5. The OVAs and recaps are left out, and Vigilantes comes last because it's full of cameos from the main story.

Explained
Are the movies canon?
They're original stories supervised by Horikoshi rather than adaptations of the manga. They fit into the timeline, but the TV series barely mentions them, so you can skip any of them. Two Heroes and World Heroes' Mission each have a tie-in TV episode (58 and 104) that sets them up.
Where does Heroes Rising go?
Guides disagree. It was released after Season 4 and many people watch it there, but its events fit later, somewhere in or after Season 5. Watching it after Season 5 avoids any confusion.
What can I skip?
The Hero Note and Memories recap specials, and the comedy OVAs (Hero League Baseball, Laugh! As If You Are in Hell, UA Heroes Battle). Anime-original TV episodes include 39, 58, 64 and 104; 58 and 104 set up films. Everything else in the TV series follows the manga.
Is the story finished?
Yes. The Final Season (2025) covers the end of the manga, and the More special (2026) adapts the bonus chapter from its last volume. I Am a Hero Too is a short extra epilogue.
What is Vigilantes?
A spin-off series based on its own manga, set five years before Deku starts at U.A., about a street-level vigilante and the heroes around him. Two seasons aired in 2025 and 2026. No third season had been announced as of autumn 2026.
