My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU watch order
Cynical loner Hachiman Hikigaya is forced into his school's Service Club with the cold, brilliant Yukino Yukinoshita and the cheerful Yui Yuigahama, where they take on other students' problems. Known as Oregairu, it adapts Wataru Watari's light novels in three TV seasons and three OVAs.
First time? Watch Season 1, TOO! and Climax in order. That's the whole story; add the Climax OVA at the end as an epilogue, and the two earlier OVAs whenever you like.
Story order
The three seasons run in a straight line. The first two OVAs adapt side volumes set during Season 2's school year, but they're self-contained comedy episodes, so watching each after the season before it works fine. The Climax OVA comes after the finale.
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU
Hachiman joins the Service Club and helps classmates through requests, a summer camp, the cultural festival and the sports festival (light novel volumes 1–6). Episode 13 is an extra episode adapting the side volume 6.5, but it aired with the season, so watch it. Made by Brain's Base.
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU OVA (optional)
A comedy side story where the club researches marriage for a city magazine, adapted from the side volume 7.5. It came with the first video game, so it was never on TV. Nothing later depends on it. Optional.
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!
Season 2 (Zoku in Japanese) picks up right after Season 1: the school trip, the student council election and the Christmas event, as the club's three members start to drift apart (volumes 7–11). Made by a new studio, feel., so the characters look different.
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO! OVA (optional)
Iroha drags Hachiman into planning dates, and the club ends up scouting date spots for a school newsletter. Adapted from side volume 10.5, so it's set late in TOO!; it came with the second game. Optional.
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax
The third and final season (Kan in Japanese) adapts the last three volumes, through Valentine's Day and prom, and settles where Hachiman, Yukino and Yui stand. It finishes the main story. Delayed from April to July 2020.
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax OVA
An epilogue set after Climax's last episode: a family dinner with Yukino and a day out with Yui, drawn from Watari's bonus stories. It came with the Climax game in 2023. Optional, but the only anime after the finale.
Release order
Each OVA came out on a limited-edition video game after its season had aired, so release order and story order line up.

Explained
Why do the characters look different in Season 2?
Season 1 was made by Brain's Base; TOO!, Climax and the last two OVAs were made by feel., with a different director and new character designs. It's the same story, just a cleaner, glossier look.
What are the Japanese names Zoku and Kan?
They're the Japanese suffixes for the sequels: Zoku ("continued") is Season 2, released in English as TOO!, and Kan ("complete") is Season 3, released as Climax. The light novels are sold in English under a different title, My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected.
Are the OVAs canon, and where can I find them?
All three adapt Watari's own side stories, so they aren't anime-original filler. None of them aired on TV: each was bundled with a limited-edition video game, which is why they're often missing from streaming services. Skipping the first two loses nothing; the Climax OVA is a nice epilogue.
Is the story finished? Will there be a Season 4?
Yes, Climax adapts the final main volume and was announced as the last season. Since then Watari has written side stories, including volume 14.5 and Ketsu, a spin-off novel series focused on Yui, but no new anime had been announced as of October 2026.
Is there an English dub?
Yes. Sentai Filmworks dubbed all three TV seasons.
