The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. watch order

Kusuo Saiki has every psychic power there is, and all he wants is a quiet, ordinary life, which his classmates make impossible. Shuichi Aso's gag manga became two TV seasons, a one-hour finale special and a Netflix epilogue series.

First time? Watch Season 1, Season 2, the Final Arc special (Netflix calls it Season 3) and then Reawakened. Skip the 2013 web pilot.

Release order

Release order is story order. Most episodes are standalone gags, but the Final Arc and the end of Reawakened only work after the seasons before them.

  1. Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan (2013 web anime) (optional) ONA, 2013, 1 episode

Optional. A 16-minute Flash pilot released through Shueisha's Jump LIVE app. It's a separate early adaptation, not connected to the TV series, and isn't needed.

  2. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. TV, 2016, 24 episodes

Saiki tries to keep his powers secret while Nendo, Kaido, Teruhashi and the rest of PK Academy keep getting in the way. Made as 120 five-minute shorts, which aired five at a time as 24 half-hour episodes; Netflix lists it that way.

  3. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Season 2 TV, 2018, 24 episodes

More of the same episodic chaos in full-length episodes, each made of several short segments. Subtitled only in English.

  4. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Final Arc Special, 2018, 1 episode

A 55-minute special (Kanketsu-hen) that adapts the manga's final arc, aired in December 2018, the year the manga ended. Netflix released it as "Season 3".

  5. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Reawakened ONA, 2019, 6 episodes

A six-episode Netflix original of new gag stories. Its last episode is set after the Final Arc and adapts the manga's epilogue, so watch it last.

Explained

What is "Season 3" on Netflix?

It's the Final Arc special (Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan: Kanketsu-hen), a single 55-minute episode that aired in Japan on December 28, 2018, sometimes split into two parts. Reawakened, released a year later, is a separate six-episode series. Watch the special first.

Does the anime finish the story?

Yes. The manga ended in 2018 after 26 volumes, and between them the Final Arc and Reawakened's last episode adapt its ending and epilogue. A later four-panel sequel manga hasn't been animated.

Is there an English dub?

Only for parts of it, with two different casts. Season 1 has a Funimation dub, and Reawakened has its own Netflix dub with a new cast. Season 2 and the Final Arc are subtitled only.

Why are the Season 1 episodes so short?

Season 1 was made for a morning TV block as five-minute shorts, and a late-night slot aired each week's five shorts together as one episode. That's why AniList counts 120 episodes while Netflix shows 24.

Is the live-action movie connected?

No. The 2017 live-action film, starring Kento Yamazaki, is a separate adaptation and not part of this order.
