The Seven Deadly Sins watch order
Princess Elizabeth seeks out the Seven Deadly Sins, a band of knights framed for treason ten years earlier, to free the kingdom of Liones from its tyrannical Holy Knights; she finds their captain, Meliodas, running a bar. Nakaba Suzuki's manga became four TV seasons, a short anime-original series, two films and a Netflix two-parter, followed by the sequel Four Knights of the Apocalypse.
First time? Watch Season 1, Revival of the Commandments, Imperial Wrath of the Gods and Dragon's Judgement, then the film Cursed by Light. Grudge of Edinburgh leads into the sequel, Four Knights of the Apocalypse. Everything else is optional.

Explained
Why are Netflix's season numbers different?
Netflix counts the four-episode Signs of Holy War as Season 2, so its Season 3 is Revival of the Commandments, Season 4 is Imperial Wrath of the Gods and Season 5 is Dragon's Judgement. The Japanese releases use titles instead of numbers. Some lists also number the episodes straight through, with Signs of Holy War as 25–28.
Is there filler? Can I skip Signs of Holy War?
The four main seasons follow the manga with no pure filler episodes. Signs of Holy War is an anime-original mini-series and Prisoners of the Sky is an original film; both are fun side stories and both are safe to skip. Cursed by Light is different: it's set inside the final episode and is treated as canon.
What happened to the animation in later seasons?
From Imperial Wrath of the Gods, production moved from A-1 Pictures to Studio Deen on a tight schedule, and the drop in animation quality was widely criticized. The story still follows the manga to its end, so most viewers push through; some read the manga for the final arcs instead.
How do Grudge of Edinburgh and Four Knights fit?
Both come after the main story. Grudge of Edinburgh is a two-part Netflix CG film about Meliodas and Elizabeth's son Tristan that bridges into Four Knights of the Apocalypse, a sequel series with a new lead, Percival, set years later. Four Knights has two seasons (36 episodes); a third hadn't been announced as of October 2026.
