Explained
Which episodes can I skip?
The numbered specials are recaps: 24.5 (Veldora's Journal), 24.9 (Hinata, though it has a few new minutes), 36.5 (Veldora's Journal 2) and 48.5 (Diablo's Journal). The TV seasons themselves follow the light novels without filler.
Where do the movies and OVAs go?
Visions of Coleus is set between Seasons 1 and 2. Scarlet Bond goes after Season 2, and Tears of the Azure Sea after Season 3. Both films are original stories made with the author, Fuse; neither is required. The OAD episodes are optional extras set around Season 1.
Is The Slime Diaries part of the story?
No. It's a gentle slice-of-life spin-off about the residents of Tempest. Watch it whenever you want a break; it doesn't affect the main plot.
Why is the episode numbering so odd?
Episodes are numbered straight through the seasons (Season 2 starts at 25, Season 3 at 49, Season 4 at 73), and the specials slot in with decimals like 24.5 and 48.5.
What's next?
Season 4 is planned as five cours. The first two aired from April to September 2026; the third is due in July 2027. A spin-off anime about Clayman has been announced for April 2027.
