Tiger & Bunny watch order
In Sternbild City, superheroes with powers called NEXT fight crime on a reality show, wearing their sponsors' logos. Washed-up veteran Wild Tiger gets paired with the cool rookie Barnaby Brooks Jr. Sunrise's original series grew into two films and a Netflix sequel.
First time? Watch the TV series, then the film The Rising, then Tiger & Bunny 2 (Parts 1 and 2). The first film, The Beginning, mostly retells episodes 1–2 and is optional.
First-timer order
The main story only: the TV series, The Rising, then both parts of Tiger & Bunny 2. The Beginning, the band short and the pilot are extras for afterwards.
- Tiger & Bunny
The original series. Kotetsu (Wild Tiger) and Barnaby are forced into the first hero duo, and Barnaby's hunt for the people who killed his parents grows into a plot against the whole hero system. Complete on its own.
- Tiger & Bunny: The Movie – The Rising
A new story set after the TV finale's epilogue: a mystery on Justice Day, the festival of Sternbild's goddess, with the new hero Golden Ryan taking Kotetsu's place as Barnaby's partner. Watch it before Tiger & Bunny 2.
- Tiger & Bunny 2
The sequel, released worldwide on Netflix in April 2022. A new story set after The Rising, with Kotetsu and Barnaby back as a duo while heroes multiply around the world. Episodes 1–13.
- Tiger & Bunny 2 Part 2
Episodes 14–25, released on Netflix in October 2022. The second half of the same story; watch it straight after Part 1.
- Tiger & Bunny: The Movie – The Beginning (optional)
Retells episodes 1–2, often frame for frame, then spends nearly half its runtime on new scenes, including a case about a thief and more of Kotetsu's late wife. Fine for fans, but nothing later depends on it. Optional.
- Tiger & Bunny: Too Many Cooks Spoil the Broth. (optional)
A 17-minute comedy short in which the heroes are told to form a band. It was made for the 2015 orchestral concert The Sound of Tiger & Bunny and released with its Blu-ray. Optional.
- Tiger & Bunny Pilot (optional)
A two-minute pilot film included on the first DVD and Blu-ray volume. A curiosity, not part of the story. Optional.
Story order
The story runs in the same order it came out. The Beginning retells episodes 1–2, so it has no slot of its own; watch it after the series if you want its new scenes. The band short has no set place and is listed by release.

Explained
Do I need The Beginning?
No. About half of it is footage from episodes 1–2, and the new half (a side case and some backstory) doesn't feed into anything later. Watch the TV series instead; come back to the film if you want more.
Do I need The Rising before Tiger & Bunny 2?
Yes. Tiger & Bunny 2 is set after The Rising and assumes you've seen it, including the changes it brings to Kotetsu and Barnaby's partnership.
Is Tiger & Bunny 2 one season or two?
One 25-episode season that Netflix released in two parts: Part 1 (episodes 1–13) in April 2022 and Part 2 (episodes 14–25) in October 2022. AniList lists them as two entries.
Is there more coming?
No new anime has been announced. The 15th-anniversary project announced in 2026 is a stage play, Tiger & Bunny The Stage.
